Current opening hours gastronomy


  • The restaurant and beer bar are open from Monday to Sunday from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. The kitchen will spoil you from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. with a classic and a vegetarian-vegan five-course menu. Of course, the dishes are also available individually for small appetites.
  • The bar is open daily from 5.00 pm.

    Restaurant "Bettina von Arnim"

    Bettina von Arnim, a wordsmith herself, worshipped Goethe fervently, until he himself expelled her and her husband Clemens Brentano from his house. You can enjoy the elegant but rustique atmosphere of the restaurant with a view onto the neighboring house of the ruler of poetry and adapt the historical events. 
    We are ambitious of what's on your plate and in your glas but also simpel and fresh in our presentation.

  • Bierstube Consilium

    Beer pub "Consilium"

    Beginning 1776 Goethe was a member of the Secret consilium for one decade, which was the highest government authority with different agencies assigned, consulting the duke.
    The rustique beer pub with a view onto the estate of Goethe impresses with a special tiffany ceiling, which provides a quaint cozyness. Enjoy Thuringian specialties, local beer and wine from Saale and Unstrut.
