Bettina von Arnim, herself a writer, adored Goethe fervently until he expelled her and her brother Clemens Brentano from the house. With a view of the neighboring house of the poet prince, you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the rustic-elegant restaurant and relive the historical events. Bierstube Consilium
For a decade from 1776, Goethe was a member of the Privy Consilium, the highest government authority that advised the Duke and to which various authorities were assigned. The rustic beer bar with a view of Goethe's estate is characterized by the special Tiffany ceiling, which creates a rustic cosiness. - The restaurant and beer bar are open from Monday to Sunday from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. The kitchen will spoil you from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. with a classic and a vegetarian-vegan five-course menu. Of course, the dishes are also available individually for small appetites.
- The bar is open daily from 5.00 pm.
